Wizards' win on January 1st was perhaps a mirage as they lost the next three and no NBA team has won less than the six games the Wizards won this season. The Wizards will play back-to-back games on Wednesday against the 76ers, a team they have not faced since February 2024.

On Tuesday the Wizards fell again at the Capital One Arena, they could not hold on to a lead that had a point of 12 points in their favor, but the final result of 112-135 in favor of the visitors was predictable as the Rockets were favored to win by 13.5 points at the betting sites in the pre-game action. With a close game at halftime, the Wizards' permissive defense could not contain them any longer in the second half allowing 40 points in the third quarter and 38 in the fourth. Kuzma, who only played 16 minutes, had 10 points and will likely miss the game against the Sixers due to a calf injury. Poole will also be doubtful for Wednesday's game due to a hip injury.

The 76ers have also not yet managed to get used to having their stars on the court, especially Embiid, who for various reasons comes in and out of the lineup. Once again, due to a foot injury, he will probably rest against the Wizards.
