After defeating #7 Michigan State last Saturday 70-64, they fell to unranked Northwestern on Tuesday 77-75. Desmond Claude has been leading the Trojans in scoring with 16.2ppg but was unable to play in the loss to Northwestern which proved to be a tall task to overcome. His status for this matchup is still in the air. The Trojans are taking on the #7 Purdue Boilermakers (18-5). Purdue has won 10 of their last 11 games with the lone loss coming against the Ohio State Buckeyes 2 weeks ago. In the loss, the Buckeyes connected on over 47% of their 3-point shots. Since the loss, the Boilermakers have picked up 3 straight wins by an average of 13.6ppg. On the season, Purdue has mainly relied on Trey Kaufman-Renn, Braden Smith, and Fletcher Loyer; who are all averaging double-digits.
