#20 Purdue (19-9) are currently on a 4-game losing streak and while their 1st three losses came to ranked teams, their latest loss was to unranked Indiana on Sunday. With an extended break, the Boilermakers are looking to right the ship at home against the visiting UCLA Bruins (20-8). This will be the only meeting between the teams in the regular season. UCLA had won 7 straight games prior to going 2-2 over their last 4 games. On the season, the Bruins have struggled on the road and gone just 4-4. Head coach, Mick Cronin, has been vocal about the difficulty his team has had when traveling across country to face opponents since joining the Big 10. This should be an evenly contested matchup as both teams take care of the ball with an identical assist/turnover ratio of 1.6, which ranks them tied for 20th in the country. Purdue’s leading scorer, Trey Kaufman-Renn, is coming off his lowest scoring game in recent games with just 9 in the loss to Indiana. He is averaging over 19ppg and will be needed here to help snap the Boilermakers losing streak.
