Arsenal go into the first North London derby of the season with a number of key players absent through injury or suspension. Declan Rice is banned following his red card aginst Brighton, whilst Martin Odegaard and Riccardo Calafiori picked up injuries whilst on international duty and Mikel Merino remains a long term absentee. To cope with those setbacks, manager Mikel Arteta seems likely to start Thomas Partey and Jorginho in midfield, with Kai Havertz occupying the lone striker role. Spurs have a much shorter injury list, but defender Mickey Van Der Ven and striker Dominic Solanke are doubts. Ange Postecoglou's men have performed well in all three of their games so far, but defensive lapses cost them early against both Leicester City and Newcastle United, meaning they have just four points to their name. This is an absolutely huge game for both teams. After the dissapointing draw with Brighton, Arsenal know that any more dropped points could leave them a long way behind Manchester Cirty in the title race. As for Spurs, they will be desprate to give their fans something to cheer about following an underwhelming start to the campaign. It all points towards an entertaining game, and whilst Arsenal clearly have the stronger squad, Spurs have the home advantage and fewer injuries to contend with. Desptite those injuries, there will be an exciting array of attacking talent on show, so we think a high scoring draw could be on the cards.
