Baltimore’s 11-2 win in Thursday’s series opener vs. the Rangers bumped up their home record to 27-16. More importantly, the win has made them the new leader in the AL East standings with a 51-30 slate, dislodging the New York Yankees (52-31) who are on a four-game losing skid. Meanwhile, the Rangers attempt to address their losing skid that has now reached four games since losing to the Brewers at the start of this week. The Rangers’ ongoing struggle to win road games - 17-25 in away games this season - have dropped them to third place (37-44) behind division rivals Houston Astros (40-40) and Seattle Mariners (46-37) for AL West leadership.
