The Texas Rangers will play the Tampa Bay Rays at Globe Life Field on Saturday, seeking their fourth win in a row.
The Rangers are steadily establishing themselves as a force to reckon with the AL West after securing their sixth win of the season against the Tampa Bay Rays in their series opener on Friday. After losing to Cincinnati Reds 3-14 in Game 1, Texas has displayed elite pitching over the next three games, posting back-to-back 1-0 wins over the Reds before surrendering two runs in a 5-2 win over the Rays.
The Rays have lost their last two assignments after racking up three straight wins last week. Tampa Bay, batting .258/.328/.356 this season, could only score two runs in each of their last two games as they struggled to solve dominant starters like Paul Skenes and Tyler Mahle. They also gave up a total of 9 runs in those games.
