Spain was the threatening team throughout this game, once again proving they are the side to beat at the Euros. France also earned their spot in the semifinals after a 0-0 draw against a resilient Portuguese side. They won the penalty shootout 5-3 after scoring all of their spot kicks, while Joao Felix hit the post for Portugal. Les Bleus must be more convincing in this upcoming match, especially their blunt attack in open play. Didier Descamps must quickly improve the attack as they will likely have to hit on the counter given Spain's tendency to dominate possession this tournament.

Spain is undoubtedly the in-form team here. They’ll be eager to maintain the momentum that has seen them win all their five Euro 2024 matches. Luis de la Fonte’s men have excellently handled all the challenges thrown at them, including wins against heavyweights like Italy and Croatia. They have been sharp in front of goal, scoring 11 goals so far in this tournament (2.2 goals per game). Their defense has also been ice-cold, conceding only twice against Germany and Georgia. Group B winners, Spain, will likely stick to the same lineup that outlasted Germany on Friday. Luis de la Fonte named an unchanged squad against the tournament hosts after blowing out Georgia 4-1 in the knockout stages. Ayoze Perez and Nacho Fernandez returned to the bench against Germany after missing out with slight knocks. However, Spain will play France without Dani Carvajal, who was sent off for a foul on Jamal Musiala that earned him his second yellow card of the match. Pedri is also absent for the semifinal clash after limping off in Stuttgart.

France, on the other hand, should be full-strength on Tuesday. Their midfield will receive a substantial boost thanks to Adrien Rabiot's return from suspension. In his absence, Descamps picked Eduardo Camavinga to partner Ngolo Kante and Tchouameni in midfield. Kolo Muani also got a chance to shine up top, although the Paris Saint Germain striker did little to convert his chances. The talisman striker Mbappe came off during extra time against Portugal with a knock on his broken nose. However, he should be available for the semis.
