However, Harry Kane leveled matters in an 18th-minute penalty before Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins bagged the winner with a sublime 90th-minute strike. Earlier on Tuesday, Spain rallied from a 1-0 deficit to score two second-half goals and book a spot in the finals. They have endured a tough road to Berlin after conquering heavyweights like Germany, Italy, Croatia, and now France. This is their first European finals since 2012 and perhaps their strongest campaign in history.

Luis de la Fuente’s attackers have been in fine form at this tournament, scoring 13 goals. Impressively, La Roja won all six of their games at the Euros without needing penalties. No country has achieved this feat in a single European Championship. They could become the first country to lift the Euros four times on Sunday.
As for England, the jury was still out before the semis. They haven’t played good football for the larger part of this tournament. However, England perfectly answered their critics with a convincing win against the star-studded Dutch. They now face a more formidable opponent as they seek to win their first European Championship trophy. Their only major trophy was the 1966 World Cup on home soil. England is 14-10-3 against Spain, and their last meeting ended in a 3-2 win for the Three Lions. This is their third matchup against Spain in the Euros, winning the previous two. The numbers are looking good for England here.
