Spanish Title Prediction: Who will win La Liga 2024-2025?
Not only the championship in general but also every day and every match in La Liga is shaping up to be a very tight affair in the 2024-2025 season. Whether at the top or the bottom of the standings, the battle should be fierce right to the end between all the Spanish soccer clubs! We're sure to see some great duels in Spain's superb and historic stadiums: Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, Cívitas Metropolitano, San Mamés, Mestalla and the Ramón-Sánchez-Pizjuán Stadium. Barcelona will not be playing at their traditional Camp Nou at least for the beginning of the season as it is still closed for renovations. In any case, some of Spain's top clubs are expected to battle it out for the league title, a place in the European Cup (Champions League, Europa League and Conference League) and a place in the top flight.
Real Madrid are the odds-on favorite to be crowned La Liga champions before the season kicks off. With a huge squad and the arrival of French national team captain Kylian Mbappé, the battle promises to be unequal on paper with FC Barcelona. And Atlético Madrid are likely to find it even more difficult to compete with their arch-rivals...
Carlo Ancelotti and his stars such as Jude Bellingham, Vinicius, Courtois and Mbappé, over the whole championship (38 rounds), should be crowned champions. A second time in the last two years for the Madrid giants? Our La Liga prediction: Real Madrid Spanish Champions 2024-2025!

La Liga Top 4 Prediction: Which teams will qualify for the Champions League?
Betting on La Liga isn't just about betting on the future champion! In fact, you also have the opportunity to place money on the clubs that will clinch a European place. In addition to the future champion of Spain, the teams finishing second, third and fourth in La Liga will qualify for the 2025-2026 Champions League. As far as these four Champions League places are concerned, our prediction is: Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, Atlético de Madrid and Athletic Bilbao in the top 4!
Just behind Real Madrid, who we expect to be Spanish champions as stated in our prediction, the Blaugranas of FC Barcelona should naturally occupy a place in the top 4, as should the Colchoneros of Atlético de Madrid, who haven't missed a beat for many years now and have established themselves as league leaders. Just behind them, it's the Basque club Athletic Bilbao who could, in our opinion, clinch the final spot. The club is working well and finished 5th last year, following the big surprise of Girona.
La Liga Prediction - Odds on the favorites for a place in the Top 4
- Atletico Madrid -700
- Villarreal +155
- Athletic Bilbao +250
- Real Sociedad +500
- Girona +650
- Betis +650
- Rayo Vallecano +1600
- Sevilla +1800
- Mallorca +2100

- Celta Vigo +3200
- Alaves +8000
- Valencia +10000

Europa League Qualification Prediction: Which La Liga club will qualify?
In Spain, two places qualify for the UEFA Europa League. In addition to the Spanish Cup winner, the club finishing fifth in La Liga will qualify for the Europa League for the 2025-2026 season. The clubs mentioned above, Real Sociedad and Bilbao, are likely to join Betis, Girona, Valencia and Villarreal in the fight.
Of course, it's difficult to say with any certainty, but it could well be that one of these teams will feature in La Liga's Top 5, and we're leaning towards Mikel Oyarzabal's team. Our prediction: Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, Atlético de Madrid, Athletic Bilbao and Real Sociedad in the top 5!

Conference League Qualification Prediction: Which La Liga club will qualify?
The club finishing 6th (or 7th, depending on who wins the cup) in La Liga this season will have the opportunity to take part in the next UEFA Conference League! Recently categorized as Europe's third cup. Officially, the sixth-placed club in the Spanish league will qualify for this competition. But if it's a club qualified for the Champions League via the league that wins the King's Cup, then 6th or 7th place could qualify for the UEFA Conference League.
We've seen this happen in the last two years, with Real Madrid and Athletic Bilbao (Cup winners and qualifiers for the Champions League and Europa League respectively) giving way to Osasuna two years ago and Bétis last year, who finished 7th.
In our opinion, the clubs to watch out for in sixth place are Betis, Girona, Valencia and Villarreal. Our prediction: Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, Atlético de Madrid, Athletic Bilbao, Real Sociedad and Villarreal in the top 6 of La Liga!

Relegation Predictions: Which La Liga club will be relegated?
Much further down the table, a very intense battle awaits many clubs to avoid descent into La Liga 2. Naturally, we're hoping for as much suspense as last year, when it came down to the final day. As a reminder, clubs finishing 18th, 19th and 20th at the end of the season will unfortunately be relegated to the second division for the following season.
And, once again, a number of Spanish soccer clubs will obviously be affected. We therefore came up with the following prediction: Las Palmas, Leganés and Mallorca relegated!
Liga Prediction - Relegation Odds
- Valladolid -290
- Leganes -150
- Espanyol -105
- Las Palmas +135
- Getafe +145
- Valencia +270
- Alaves +650
- Celta Vigo +1400
- Osasuna +2100

Golden Boot in La Liga 2024-2025: Which player will score the most goals?
In addition to team objectives such as standings or betting on the Spanish Cup, there is also an individual title that has a rather special significance in La Liga: that of the Pichichi, the season's top scorer. In 2024-2025, which player will finish top scorer in the Spanish league? Here's a list of the attacking players to watch out for in this new edition of La Liga:
- Kylian Mbappé (Real Madrid)
- Robert Lewandowski (FC Barcelona)
- Antoine Griezmann (Atlético de Madrid)
- Jude Bellingham (Real Madrid)
- Vinicius (Real Madrid)
- Alexander Sørloth (Villarreal)
- Alvaro Morata (Atlético de Madrid)
- Artem Dovbyk (Girona)
- Gerard Moreno (Villarreal)
- Youssef En-Nesyri (Sevilla)
The top scorer last year in his very first season with 24 goals, Ukrainian Artem Dovbyk was a pleasant surprise. But with the arrival of Kylian Mbappé at Real Madrid, the title of Pichichi seems destined to fall to him, after finishing as Ligue 1's top scorer for the last 7 years!

Sports Betting Beginners - How does the Spanish Soccer League work?
As you may have gathered, La Liga is Spain's first division soccer league. It brings together and pits Spain's top 20 clubs against each other in a round-robin system. It's quite simple to understand: all the clubs meet once, then it's repeated in the second half of the season with the return matches. Each team therefore meets an opponent twice (once at home and once away), giving us a total of 38 matchdays, with a fixture list of 380 matches in all.
At the final whistle of the championship, a few places have an impact on the future of the clubs:
- The club finishing first is champion of Spain and qualifies for the Champions League.
- The teams ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th qualify for the Champions League.
- The club ranked 5th qualifies for the Europa League (and potentially the 6th, depending on who wins the Spanish Cup).
- The team ranked 6th qualifies for the Europa Conference League (or 7th depending on who wins the Spanish Cup).
- Clubs ranked 18th, 19th and 20th are relegated to Liga 2.
So there's a lot at stake in this Spanish soccer championship, which goes a long way towards explaining why betting on La Liga matches is one of the most popular activities carried out every weekend by betting soccer fans in the US.
How to make good predictions on La Liga matches?
Making a winning prediction on La Liga requires, above all, a thorough knowledge of the league, but also "good practice" on the part of the punter. As a specialist in the Spanish league for many years, SportyTrader offers you its main and best tips for good predictions:
- Consult the form of the Liga teams
- Take into account the calendar of Spanish clubs
- Monitor the list of absentees in La Liga
- Take into account each team's history in the Spanish league
- Compare the odds of each EA Sports FC Liga bet.
According to our betting experts, these are some of the most important tips if you want to bet on La Liga matches. You can find each of them in detail just below this paragraph!
Consult the form of la Liga teams
To establish a reliable prediction on the Spanish soccer championship, there are a few reflexes to catch quickly. The first is to check the form of the teams you're betting on. Indeed, if you want to bet on Betis against Mallorca, but Sevilla hasn't won in 9 games while their opponents haven't lost in 6, you'll probably have to reconsider your initial bet. The form of the teams plays a major role in your bets, so don't overlook it.
We feel it's important to remember that simply analyzing the latest scores is not enough to make safer bets. It's far more interesting for you and your bets to analyze the content offered by a team in the match, which may have lost two games in a row despite clear domination and an impressive lack of luck.
If you look at the results, you might think they're out of form, when in fact they may just have been unlucky. The major statistics (possession, Expected Goals, goalposts, number of shots taken, attempted and on target, fouls committed and provoked, etc.) are therefore of great importance.
Take into account the calendar of Spanish clubs
Secondly, as soccer fans know only too well, teams' schedules are getting heavier and heavier, with more and more matches to play. It is therefore very important to consult the team calendar before betting on a La Liga match. Take, for example, a Madrid derby match between Real Madrid and Getafe.
Let's imagine that Madrid has just played Barça and Bayern in the Champions League, and will then face Getafe, before returning to the European Cup to face AC Milan, before facing Atlético Madrid and Sevilla in La Liga. In this busy schedule, the match against Getafe could obviously be seen as an "easy game". However, with the team's tiredness, the turnover probably proposed by the coach, and the senior players with their heads set on future big games, this match looks like a trap on paper for Real.
Beware, then, as an overloaded fixture list will explain some of the poor results. That's why we advise you to wait for the official line-up before placing a bet on a La Liga match or any other competition. It could well save you losses more than once...
Monitor the list of absentees in La Liga
Continuing from the previous point, the list of players absent for a single match or a longer period is going to be important. And all the more so depending on the players in question, but above all on the clubs affected.
There are many reasons for absence (injury, suspension, family reasons, exclusion from the squad, other extra-sporting problems, etc.), and this can become significant if it involves a major player or a squad that is reduced (in talent and quantity).
Is the club's best striker out? Central defender suspended? Is the first-choice goalkeeper not getting on with the coach and not in the squad announced at the press conference? It's very important to check the potential absences in each group and, of course, don't place large bets on a La Liga prediction if you notice any major absences...
Checking the announced groups and compositions could help you avoid unpleasant surprises!
Take into account each team's history in the Spanish league
There's also a point that many bettors underestimate, and our experts believe it's still very important and should be highlighted. For this tip, there will be several things to take into account: the rivalry between each club, pre-match statements or a tense final face-off.
As you can see, there are several factors, some more important than others, which will impact the environment of a match and the players' mental state.
For example, let's imagine that FC Barcelona hasn't won at Betis's Benito Villamarín Stadium in Seville for 15 years. If you were betting on a Barça victory, a close analysis and this statistic could well change your mind.
Indeed, some teams, in some stadiums, simply can't manage to break through that psychological barrier to take all 3 points. So keep this in mind when betting on soccer and La Liga!
Compare the odds of each EA Sports FC Liga bet
To conclude with our last piece of advice, always analyze the odds offered by sportsbooks before placing any bet! As you probably already know, each operator defines its own odds before proposing them to you. This means that odds may be higher on one site than another, and you'll get more money for the same stake in the event of a winning bet.
Let's imagine you want to bet on Osasuna beating Las Palmas. You'll notice that DraftKing’s odds are -105, while BetMGM’s are only -112... For the same stake (say $100), there's a $6 difference in winnings ($95 net at DraftKings and $89 at BetMGM)!
In the long term, this will have a major impact on your income from online sports betting sites. We therefore strongly advise you to register with as many sportsbooks as possible, so that you never miss out on the best odds available on the market. What's more, you'll be able to take advantage of all the welcome bonuses on offer when you place your first bet!
Please bear in mind that, when making their soccer predictions for Sportytrader, all our experts take into account these 5 points we've just described, but also other aspects specific to each La Liga match.
So, when you come to consult our predictions for La Liga matches, you'll have access to a highly reliable set of data for each game. So before you place any bets on the Spanish league, make a habit of checking our predictions!
What not to do when making La Liga predictions?
To get the most out of your Spanish La Liga predictions, there are a few things you should definitely avoid doing. Here are the ones we consider to be the most important, and which you should avoid at all costs before betting on a Spanish league match:
- Forgetting to analyze the La Liga match you want to bet on
- Constantly betting on your favorite team
- Don't compare odds between sportsbooks
- Betting on a La Liga match without looking at the stakes (especially at the end of the season)
- Be desperate to make up for one or more lost bets
- Only play at big odds to try to win as much as possible
- Too much live betting
At present, a good number of bettors, whether beginners or more experienced, are still too regularly fooled. They lose out on bets and stakes because they decide (or not) to stick with one or more of these bad habits. Don't make this mistake, and remember that, if you want to bet on the 2023/2024 La Liga season, you'll have to avoid it all!
Liga Predictions: Statistics you need to know
In addition to all the tips we've just given you, there's one more thing to bear in mind when it comes to making the most of your La Liga bets. Knowing the most important statistics of the Spanish league is key. We've listed below the most important ones we think you should bear in mind when making your La Liga predictions. Please note that these figures were taken from the last edition, in 2023-2024:
- Home wins: 44%
- Draws: 28%
- Away wins: 28%
- Average goals: 2.64 goals per game
- +0.5 goals: 92%
- -0.5 goals: 18%
- +1.5 goals: 72%
- -1.5 goals: 28%
- +2.5 goals: 46%
- -2.5 goals: 54%
- +3.5 goals: 27%
- -3.5 goals: 73%
- +4.5 goals: 16%
- -4.5 goals: 84%
- "Both teams score yes": 49%.
- Average goals per home game: 1.48
- Average goals per away match: 1.16
- Average shots per match: 20.94
- Home team scores first: 50%
- Away team scores first: 42%
- Victory by a margin of 2 goals or more (handicap): 38%
- Exact score 0-0: 8.2% of matches
- Exact score 1-1: 13.4% of matches
- Most frequent score: 1-0 or 0-1 (20.2% of matches)
For your La Liga bets, a few bets seem worth trying based on last season's stats. Already, we can see that the "more than 1.5 goals" still occurs in more than 7 games out of 10, and could be interesting to combine with a result. A team's away goal will also be worth trying, as "both teams score" doesn't seem to be the one to try most often.
Next, a win by a margin of 2 goals or more is worth a try, as the odds offered by sportsbooks are often very attractive, as is the exact score, with 1-0 coming out on top in almost a quarter of matches last year. Nothing is guaranteed with this type of bet, but the odds will be very good!
In a Nutshell: How to make the right La Liga predictions?
To make the best (and most reliable) soccer predictions during the La Liga season, several things need to be done, such as analyzing each match. Of course, you'll also need to take into account everything we've already mentioned on this La Liga prediction page, such as getting to know the general workings of the league and keeping the most important statistics in mind.
If you think it's going to take you too much time on a day-to-day basis (it's quite a lot of work, after all) for all the La Liga matches, please note that all our predictions proposed by league specialists will be available for each match at the top of this page. And these betting tips are 100% free and available at all times! Our soccer predictions are here to help you place your bets on Spanish league soccer matches: La Liga.
