Andrey Rublev of Russia will begin his quest for back-to-back trophies in the Middle East on Tuesday, when he goes up against Quentin Halys of France in the first round of the 2025 Dubai Tennis Championship. Rublev ended his title-drought with a sensational campaign in Qatar. The Russian racked up five scintillating wins, including a 7-5 5-7 6-1 victory over Jack Draper in the championship match. For the first time in his career, Rubley becomes a two-time champion of a similar tournament. Halys managed to come out of the qualifying stage after beating Yasutaka Uchiyama 6-3 7-6(4) and Peter Kotov 7-6(3) 7-5. The Frenchman dug deep from his bag of tricks to survive Kotov, who won 83 percent of his first serves but could not convert a single service break.

Our Quentin Halys vs Andrey Rublev Prediction
Although Rublev has a tendency to fall into a complacency trap right after a big win, I still expect the Russian to cruise to a straight-set win on Tuesday. Rublev is 9-4 this season and has won seven of his last eight matches. He has the momentum and seems on his way to regaining his status as a force on the hard court. Our betting prediction for Andrey Rublev vs. Quentin Halys: Rublev will win 2-0.
