At the WTA event in Indian Wells, officially known as the BNP Paribas Open, the world number two will be in action on Friday, with Iga Swiatek taking on Qinwen Zheng in what is an all-top-ten affair. Two of the world's best players will clash in what should be a great match, though can the Chinese competitor make the Pole seriously work? 

Qinwen Zheng has rapidly become a very, very good player in the last year or so, and we're now absolutely talking about a player that can challenge for even the biggest titles. However, she doesn't have the best hard-court record against Iga Swiatek, so it's not too easy to see her progressing from here, though strangers things have happened, while she's certainly in good form. 

For Iga Swiatek, there's been a minor dip in recent times, but since losing to the fantastic Mirra Andreeva, she's bounced back in rather emphatic fashion, winning each of her three matches at this tournament in straights sets, booking her place in the quarters thanks to a 6-1, 6-1 win against Muchova. Such a performance suggests that the Polish player is ready to lay down a serious challenge as she attempts to win this tournament for a third time.
