After that amazing win against world number one Iga Swiatek last time out, Qinwen Zheng is a worthy favorite here. You would absolutely say the same if Vekic had defeated the world number one. That win against Swiatek was arguably worthy of the gold, but unfortunately for Zheng, she's got to play again. That match will have taken plenty out of the Chinese player, even though she got it done in straight sets, so we shouldn't be too surprised if this isn't overly easy.
Zheng is a worthy favorite but should she be quite a short as she currently is? I'm not so sure. Vekic has also played incredibly well in Paris, beating some highly in-form and top players such as world number two Coco Gauff. Such an effort probably makes her worthy of a bit more respect here. Factor in that she's never lost to Zheng in straight sets and couple it with the fact that she's lost none of her last 15 matches in straight sets and betting on her to win at least one set here appeals. Our Prediction: Donna Vekic to Win at Least One Set.
