PSG - Borussia Dortmund: Form Analysis
PSG can fully focus on the Champions League. They have already secured the title in Ligue 1. It's their second trophy this season, following the one obtained at the Trophée des Champions. The Parisian club will also play in the Coupe de France final on May 25th against Lyon. Obviously, they are aiming for the quadruple and will do everything to reach the final match of the premier European competition. After eliminating Real Sociedad and FC Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund now stands in their way. Luis Enrique's team lost on BVB's turf last Wednesday (1-0). However, they could have deserved better as they had numerous opportunities. With a bit more efficiency in the final touch and the support of their fans, PSG could well turn the tide.
On the other hand, Borussia Dortmund is in 5th place in the Bundesliga. This position will secure them a spot in the next Champions League, thanks to the good results of German clubs in Europe. Even if they are not necessarily shining in the league, BVB shows a different face in the Champions League. They topped the group of death ahead of AC Milan, Newcastle United, and... PSG! Edin Terzic's men then managed to eliminate PSV Eindhoven and Atlético Madrid. They still have an advantage in the qualification, winning against PSG in the first leg (1-0). To salvage their season, Borussia Dortmund will do everything to secure their place in the Champions League final.

PSG did not play last weekend. Luis Enrique's key players were able to rest before this crucial encounter. However, the Spanish coach must deal with some absentees. As mentioned earlier, Sergio Rico and Presnel Kimpembe will not be available. In the first leg, they suffered a major setback as Lucas Hernandez sustained a serious knee injury and will be out for the rest of the season. To turn the tide, all eyes will certainly be on Kylian Mbappé. He didn't really shine in the first leg. With 43 goals and 10 assists in all competitions, the French striker will try to help his team qualify for the Champions League final. The same goes for Ousmane Dembélé, who struggled with his final touch in Dortmund.
As for Borussia Dortmund, Ramy Bensebaïni and Julien Duranville will be absent. Edin Terzic decided to rest his key players last weekend against Augsburg. Despite this, Karim Adeyemi came on as a substitute and got injured. It will take a little longer to know if he will be available against PSG. However, Sébastien Haller and Donyell Malen will be back. Malen even managed to score in their convincing victory against Augsburg (5-1). BVB has other arguments to make PSG doubt. In the first leg of the semi-final, Jadon Sancho put on an outstanding performance. He caused major problems for Nuno Mendes in his area. The Parisian attackers will also need to outperform Mats Hummels. The German center-back delivered an outstanding performance last Wednesday. He was even named man of the match!
