The Pistons have had an encouraging start to 2025 and are just one game away from matching their win-loss record. Detroit won their first three games in January, all at home, and on Monday they finish their four-game homestand when they host the Trail Blazers as 6.5-point favorites at the betting sites. By that same margin, they will once again be 6.5-point favorites against the Trail Blazers. The Pistons, playing as favorites at Little Caesars Arena, have a 4-2 record but are covering the spread at 1-5.
The push to get their record to 18-18 is backed up by the excellent game they played on Saturday in Detroit to beat the Timberwolves. Cunningham scored 40 points and was the Pistons' strongman. Despite Ant scoring a career-high 53 points, the T-Wolves fell to a great team effort from the Pistons, where Beasley followed Cunningham in points by scoring 23. In the end, the home team won 119-105, in a game in which, as underdogs on the betting sites, the Pistons had a biggest lead of 53 points.
The Trail Blazers also greatly surprised the Bucks at the Firserv Forum in their last game. They beat them 105-102 in a game where Simons led Portland with 28 points.
