Two teams that made winning starts to the new Major League Soccer campaign will clash at Subaru Park on Saturday evening, with the Philadelphia Union taking on FC Cincinnati.
For the Union, it was high-scoring stuff in Orlando, with Bradley Carnell's men notching four times to take all three points back to Philadelphia. It's fair to say that they didn't cover themselves in defensive glory during the opening weekend, but they were extra clinical offensively, so it didn't matter. They've now had a full week to prepare for this fixture, which is not something that can be said for the visitors.
Having made a winning start to the 2025 MLS campaign by beating the Red Bulls in front of a home crowd last weekend, Saturday's visitors were faced with the second leg of their CONCACAF Champions League fixture with Honduran side Motagua. They could only muster a 1-1 tie against the minnows, but that was more than enough to ensure qualification, with them winning the first leg by four goals to one. After those mid-week exploits, will they be geared up for the test at Subaru Park? We'll soon find out.
