The New York Mets will go for the kill against the Philadelphia Phillies in Game 4 of their NLDS on Wednesday at Citi Field. The Mets are now on the brink of advancing to the National League Championship series after hacking out a 7-2 victory in Game 3. New York has once again turned to their All-Star slugger Pete Alonso, who delivered a 385-foot solo home run in the 2nd inning that ignited 6-0 start for the Mets. Sean Manaea continued his strong postseason play, allowing one earned run in seven innings with six strikeouts. The Mets are averaging 5.3 runs on .240 batting average in their last five games, where as the Phillies are producing 4.0 runs on .208 batting in the same stretch. Bryce Harper and Nick Castellanos drove a run each, but they were evidently missing the production from Trae Turner and Kyle Schwarber, who hit a combined 1-for-5 in Game 3.
