Oklahoma State will try to get back on the right side of the scoreboard this week when the Cowboys travel to Manhattan to take on the Kansas State Wildcats in Bill Snyder Stadium at 12 p.m.ET on ESPN. Both teams are coming off their first loss of the season, Oklahoma State to Utah and K-State to BYU. The Wildcats are 5-point favorites at DraftKings. This game will be the 68th in the series between these two Big 12 rivals. Oklahoma State leads the all-time series 43-24 and won the most recent meeting last year in Stillwater, 29-21. However, when these teams last met in Kansas, the Wildcats dominated the Cowboys 48-0.
A win here could prove pivotal for both teams as they try to become the new alpha of the conference, with Oklahoma and Texas now in the SEC. Neither is currently the betting favorite to win the Big 12; that distinction belongs to Utah, which already has a win over Oklahoma State. Kansas State does not play the Utes during the regular season, but with a win over the Cowboys, they can stay in the driver's seat for one of two spots in the Big 12 title game.
It would not be surprising if they were to meet Utah in the title game.

Oklahoma State will run into the same problem it faced last week against Utah—a complete inability to stop the run. The Utes ran for 250 yards on the Cowboys; K-State averaged 240+ a game. To win, Oklahoma State needs to get out to an early lead; they need to force the Wildcats to play catch-up, i.e., run less and throw more.
But don’t count on that happening. K-State does not make many mistakes, and the Cowboys don’t force many. Oklahoma State will not slow the Wildcats rushing attack as K-State runs away with the win.
