Djokovic silenced naysayers anew after dispatching his second Czech opponent in the tournament, Jiri Lehecka, 6-3 6-4 7-6(4). The 24-time Grand Slam champion delivered vintage performance in Sunday’s match, scoring the big points in clutch situations and showing off the mental toughness that made him arguably the greatest player who has ever played the sport. Djokovic got the best of Lehecka by winning 81 percent of his first serves and 40 return points. Alcaraz moved on to the quarterfinals after his opponent, Jack Draper, retired with the Spaniard up 7-5 6-1. Alcaraz engaged in back-and-forth match with Draper in the first set, but the Brit’s performance started to dip after suffering the hip injury in the second set. Alcaraz has now made it to his second straight Australian Open quarterfinals.

Our Novak Djokovic vs Carlos Alcaraz Prediction
Novak Djokovic is 2-0 vs. Carlos Alcaraz on hard surfaces (indoor and outdoor). Moreover, people easily forget that Djokovic is the only 10-time Australian Open champion. He has been surgical in the past two rounds, breaking down his opponents by playing a disciplined yet still aggressive game. Alcaraz, who owns an 80.2 percent win rate on hard courts, has also been in cruise control, dropping only one set after four matches. However, I am sure Djokovic likes his chance against Alcaraz rather than taking on Sinner, who has destroyed him in their last four head-to-head meetings on hard courts. Our betting prediction for Novak Djokovic vs. Carlos Alcaraz: Djokovic will win.
