After winning the ACC tournament and advancing to the Sweet 16, the NC State Wolfpack are on a 7-game winning streak. After upsetting the 6 seeded Texas Tech Red Raiders in the opening round, they had to deal with the Cinderella-minded Oakland Grizzlies. After going into overtime, DJ Burns seemingly took over and led the way to a 79-73 win. Burns finished with 24 points and 11 rebounds. Most impressively, Burns went 6-7 from the charity strip after averaging just 61% on the season. Marquette lost by 16 in the Big East title game to UConn but quickly shook that off and took care of Western Kentucky 87-69 in the opening round. They followed that up with a tight 81-77 win over the Colorado Buffaloes who had the game tied as late as 4 minutes remaining in the game. Tyler Kolek, who sat out the entire Big East tournament, was sensational in both games. He is averaging 19.5 points and 11 assists to this point and has continuously made timely buckets. Kam Jones has been the other scoring piece to the Eagles offense and is putting up 23 points per game in the tournament.
