The Premier League weekend kicks off with a huge clash at St James' Park, as fourth place Tottenham Hotspur visit Newcastle United. Last week's 3-1 victory over Notts Forest moved Spurs above Aston Villa in the race for Champions League football. Another three points here would put them in pole position ahead of a tough run in. They won't find it easy against a Newcastle team undefeated at home in three months. That run includes 14 goals in their last five home fixtures, and last week's win at Fulham leaves them just two points behind sixth place Manchester United. It has been a slightly disappointing season for the Toon, but a strong end to the season could see them back in Europe for the 2024/25 campaign.

When the two sides met earlier in the season, Spurs cruised to a 4-1 victory with Richarlison finding the net twice. However, the corresponding fixture last season resulted in a 6-1 thrashing for Spurs, as Newcastle scored five goals in the opening 21 minutes.
