The New York Mets (42-42) have already taken 2 of the first 3 games from the Nationals (40-46) in this 4-game set. Now, they will face off on the early game of the July 4th holiday slate on Thursday. Leading 5-0 going into the bottom of the 5th, the Nats put up 7 unanswered runs to give themselves a shot at splitting this series with the Wednesday win. Jose Quintana (3-5, 4.57) will be on the mound for the Mets. He did not factor into the decision in his latest start.
