The New Orleans Pelicans (18-51) visit the Minnesota Timberwolves (40-30) on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at the Target Center.

It's the start of a two-game mini-series between the Pelicans and the Timberwolves. Minnesota won the first matchup, 104-97. With injured Pelicans players like Dejounte Murray and Trey Murphy III now sitting out, that score might not be as close as the first game.

The Wolves look to bounce back from a 132-130 overtime loss to the Indiana Pacers. Prior to that loss, they won eight straight games, a span that saw them produce an excellent 125.6 offensive rating. All-Star guard Anthony Edwards has also scored at least 25 points in the last five games.

As for the Pelicans, they have lost seven of the last eight games. They failed to reach the 100-point mark in two of the last three games. To make matters worse, they lost Murphy to a season-ending shoulder injury. That's a production of 21.2 points and 5.1 rebounds gone from the Pelicans' books.

On the other hand, the Wolves don't have any names on their injury list. With Edwards leading the way, look for Minnesota to pounce on an undermanned New Orleans squad.
