The Hawks have been gaining steam the past three games, pulling off back-to-back wins over the Cleveland Cavaliers – the No.1 team in the NBA with a 18-3 record - and edging the Charlotte Hornets. Led by their prolific point guard Trae Young and a handful of promising young players on their roster, the Hawks are beginning to establish themselves as playoff contenders this season. With Zion Williamson still unavailable to play, the Pelicans dropped their 8th consecutive game against the New York Knicks, 118-85. CJ McCollum scored 13 points to lead his team in scoring while DeJounte Murray added for New Orleans, who once again shot terribly from the field at 37.2%.
