Napoli were certainly more worrying when they lost 0-3 to Verona in their debut. Napoels were favourites to win on the betting sites with odds as high as 1.67. Verona's attack was sharp against a Napoli side that looked disorganised when they didn't have the ball, Verona only had 32% possession but managed to generate 2.07 xG and 8 shots that resulted in 3 goals. Italian goalkeeper Meret didn't look too secure either, being probably Napoli's worst player that day.
Bologna drew 1-1 in their Serie A debut, a slightly unfair result as Bologna shot 22 times at Udinese's goal and the opposition only 4 against them. A penalty was needed to open the scoring for Bologna, then they conceded one to Udinese that Thauvin missed but then they were able to score from the ensuing corner.
