Ben Shelton of the United States guns for his second straight quarterfinal appearance against Jaume Antoni Munar Clar of Spain in the round-of-16 of the 2025 Dallas Open. Shelton has once again lived up to the hype as one of the best serves on the ATP Tour. The American won 90 percent of his first serves and scored six aces en route to a 6-3 6-3 win over Aleksandar Vukic of Australia. It marked the sixth win this season for Shelton, who reached the semis of the Australian Open for the first time last month. Munar Clar advanced to the second round of the Dallas Open with a casual 7-5 6-2 win over Bu Yunchaokete of China. Clar seized control of the match by winning 73 percent of his first serves and capturing four break-point conversions, giving him the buffer room to pull away. The Spaniard has now won four of his last six matches as he also reached the semifinal of the 2025 Hong Kong Tennis Open in early January.
