Monterrey hosts Queretaro this weekend with hopes of advancing into the top 5 of Liga MX. Currently sitting 6th in the table, they have two wins and one loss. Their sole blemish was a brutal one, losing to Cruz Azul 4-0 in front of their home fans. As it stands, their goal differential of -2 would place them in bottom of the division, along with their opponents on Saturday. Queretaro have lost all 3 of their games so far, the only team to have done so. None of them have been blowouts, however. They began their year with a loss to Club Tijuana, followed by an away defeat to Club America. Little shame should be had from that performance, as Club America have been one of the best home teams in the country for many years. Queretaro even managed to outshoot Chivas 15-14 despite eventually falling 2-0. Consistent offsides violations plagued their ability to keep the ball in the offensive third.
