Ole Miss Rebels vs Auburn Prediction & Picks - NCAA Men

The Auburn Tigers take on fellow SEC squad Ole Miss Rebels on Wednesday, February 26, at Neville Arena.

Ranked 1st in the AP Top 25, the Tigers have won 18 of their last 19 games. Johni Broome, the frontrunner for the Player of the Year award, is coming off a 31-point, 14-rebound outing.  

Meanwhile, the Rebels have fallen out of this week's Top 25. After losing to Mississippi State by 10 points, their offense sputtered the next game against Vanderbilt. It doesn't help that their lead playmaker Sean Pedulla averaged 4.5 turnovers in those two losses.

There's a reason why Auburn is ranked 1st in the AP Poll for seven straight weeks — they're solid on both ends of the floor. Their perimeter defense was impressive in the last three games, even holding Alabama star guard Mark Sears to a lowly 4-17 clip from the field. That's bad news for an Ole Miss team that relies heavily on guard play.

With four games left on their schedule, the Tigers are bent on building momentum heading into the tourney. Auburn beat Ole Miss by 10 in their first game. We might be looking at the same result or even a closer game, especially with Ole Miss desperate to get back to their groove.
