Minnesota (44-36) is hoping to steal a road series away from the Arizona Diamondbacks (39-41). After losing a tough 5-4 contest in game one, the Twins put up 8 early runs to take game two 8-3. Jose Miranda was 3-4 with 2 doubles and 3 RBIs in game two for the Twins and Simeon Woods Richardson pitched his was to his 3rd win of the season. Game three will feature the major league debut of Twins pitcher, David Festa. A 13th round pick in 2021 out of Seton Hall, Festa will face a lineup that ranks inside the Top 10 in all major hitting categories. The Diamondbacks will have Jordan Montgomery (6-4, 5.71) who is having one of his worst statistical seasons of his career. However, he has picked things up a bit lately. Allowing just 5 runs in 16.2 innings of work over his last 3 starts, Montgomery has won all 3. Arizona will hope that he can go deep into this game as their bullpen has not been the best. As a team, the Diamondbacks are 29th in batting average against, 27th in earned runs average, and 28th in WHIP. If Montgomery runs into trouble early and Arizona is forced to throw a multitude of arms, they could be in for a long day.
