The Milwaukee Brewers and Arizona Diamondbacks are back on the field today following a strong showing from Milwaukee in the opening game of their three-game series. On Friday, the Brewers continued to impress with their offense, putting up seven runs en route to a comfortable win. The Diamondbacks, despite having a solid offensive track record this season, struggled to generate any momentum in the loss. Arizona managed just four hits, a stark contrast to their explosive 9-0 win against the Baltimore Orioles just two games prior.
Eduardo Rodriguez delivered a serviceable start for the D-backs, but it was reliever Joe Mantiply who had a rough outing. Mantiply allowed four hits and four earned runs over just 1.1 innings of work, which ultimately allowed the Brewers to pull away. Arizona will look to bounce back quickly, especially since they've hit well against right-handed pitching this season, sporting a team batting average of .275 in those matchups.
