In their first Copa America fixture, the Ecuadorians weer expected (by most people) to get the job done against Venezuela, but an early red card for their captain and talisman Enner Valencia made things much harder than they should've been, so hard in fact that they ended up losing the game. Fortunately, on match-day two, the men in yellow bounced back with a relatively easy win against the Jamaicans. Having played well in that game, they'll be confident of getting something against a Mexican team that hasn't been at its best of late.
While the Ecuadorians struggled on match-day one, the Mexicans got the job done, beating Jamaica by a goal to nil, though that win and clean sheet combination did not act as a springboard for further success. On match-day two, El Tri came up short against a surprisingly efficient Venezuelan team. Of course, that defeat was partly their own doing as they missed several good scoring opportunities.

For Ecuador, captain Enner Valencia remains sidelined thanks to that stupid red card on match-day one. Manager Felix Sanchez isn't expected to change too much after his team played well against Jamaica, though if a change is made, Alan Minda is probably the most likely to come in from the start following his goal as a substitute last time out.
Mexican boss Jaime Lozano could make a few changes following that defeat to Venezuela, with the tricky Alexis Vega a candidate to come in from the start, while Orbelin Pineda, who started against Jamaica, is another likely to return to the starting XI.
