After a solid campaign in the Asian stop of the ATP Tour, Jiri Lehecka will vie for his place in the men’s singles final against Marcos Giron of the United States on Saturday at the 2024 European Open. Lehecka looks to further establish himself as one of the names to watch out with a championship match-clinching win over Giron. After playing in the quarterfinals of the China Open and third round of the Shanghai Masters, the Czech is determined to take his career to a new height, though he really need to be cautious against Giron because the American can absolutely play. Lehecka made it to the semifinal round after upsetting Stefanos Tsitsipas 6-4, 6-4. He won 91 percent of his first serves and scored two important breakpoints that had allowed him to stay ahead throughout the match. Meanwhile, Giron obliterated Zizou Bergs in 16 games 6-2, 6-2. The American recorded 30 winners and captured four breakpoints that sucked the life out of his Belgian foe.

Our Marcos Giron vs Jiri Lehecka Prediction
Giron’s three-match winning stretch is something he can build on as he prepares for other big indoor events like the Basel Indoor Open and the Paris Masters. However, I just can’t see him beating Lehecka in his current shape. The Czech has won seven of his last 10 matches and just booted out one of tennis' true superstars Stefanos Tsitsipas in straight sets. Giron will try his best to keep this match competitive before he eventually runs out of steam. Our betting prediction for Marcos Giron vs. Jiri Lehecka: Pick Lehecka to cover -3.5 games, +120, at BetMGM.
