The last two Champions League winners meet at the Etihad on Tuesday, as Manchester City and Real Madrid lock horns in a gigantic play off clash.
Both sides were well below their best in the league phase, with City needing a nervy Matchday Eight victory over Brugges to ensure they did not suffer an embarrassing early exit. Meanwhile, Real's 11th place finish in the league phase was largely due to three defeats in their first five games.
However, Carlo Ancelotti's men are in far better domestic form than City. They currently have a narrow lead at the top of the La Liga table, whilst City are languishing down in fifth in the Premier League standings.
