Lyon take a healthy two goal lead into the second leg of their Europa League last 16 tie against FCSB, after a hard fought 3-1 victory in Bucharest last week. Argentinian World Cup winner Nicolás Tagliafico gave Lyon an early lead in that game, before FCSB battled back to level via an Alexandru Băluță strike midway through the second half. The Romanians then had chances to take the lead, but were denied by an inspired performance by Lucas Perri in the Lyon goal. The French side made them pay late on, as substitute Malick Fofana scored a brace of breakaway goals to swing the game firmly in favor of the French side. Despite the defeat, FCSB manager Ilias Charalambous was upbeat in his post match interviews, highlighting the battling qualities of his team after they went a goal down.
