There's a mouthwatering Major League Soccer clash taking place at BMO Stadium, which on Saturday evening will see action for the third time in a week. LAFC take on NYCFC in what should be a great game for the neutral.
It was a pleasing start to the season for the 2022 MLS Cup winners, who got off the mark at the first time of asking, beating Minnesota by a goal to nil in front of a home crowd. Of course, a 1-0 win isn't the most glamorous of results, but Steve Cherundolo's men got the job done in typically commanding fashion, while they delivered something similar when beating the Rapids in the CONCACAF Champions Cup during the week. Can they make it three wins from three?
While the LAFC boys made a winning start to the new campaign, the men from the Bronx failed to pick up a win on the opening weekend, though they can be forgiven for that since they were presented with the tough task of taking on Inter Miami away from home. Given the size of that task, the men now coached by Pascal Jansen performed credibly, picking up a solid tie. Having had longer to prepare for this fixture than their hosts, they'll be hoping to build on that result.
