Two teams that don't cross paths often, but both historic NBA franchises will have another duel in 2025 after not seeing each other in 2024 when the Knicks and Lakers both have positive records in New York.

Brunson is averaging 25.9 points per game this season and the Knicks had a furious close to January winning the last 5 games. Towns also contributes with a 54% shooting and an average of 24.6 points per game. The Knicks' 5-game streak came against the Hawks, Nets, Grizzlies, Kings and Nuggets, scoring more than 140 points in two of those victories.
