After achieving a 15-9 record in July, the Athletics intend to continue their upward trajectory by putting together another good campaign in August. Oakland's win on Friday puts them on the right track, boosting their overall record to 46-65, 1.5 games behind the 47-63 Los Angeles Dodgers and 12 games behind the division-leading Houston Astros, who are 57-52.
