One of the biggest games of the MLS season so far takes place on Saturday night, as the MLS Western Conference leading Los Angeles FC hosts the Columbus Crew, who are currently third in the MLS Eastern Conference table. Despite missing several key players, LA continued to pile up the points, winning nine of their last ten MLS fixtures and scoring 24 goals in the process. Columbus are also in superb form, winning their last four MLS games by a combined score of 15 goals to one. Those victories mean that the Crew are virtually assured of a place in the first round of the play offs.
This will be just the sixth ever meeting between the two teams, with LA winning three and Columbus two. They last met in December, with Columbus emerging as 2-1 winners.
