Both are trying to move up in their respective conferences, but the Los Angeles Clippers and the Atlanta Hawks will slug it out in a matchup between two of the hottest teams in the past week at State Farm Arena on Friday. The 36-30 Clippers 5-1 in their last six games to keep them in contention for an outright playoff spot in the West.

Despite missing the service of Kawhi Leonard and Norman Powell, Los Angeles showed their depth in their 119-104 win over the Miami Heat on Wednesday as Bogdan Bogdanovic delivered his best game as the Clippers, pumping up 30 points on 11 for 16 shooting. James Harden also silently put up a near triple-double output with 24 points, 8 rebounds, and 11 assists, and Ivica Zubac had 26 points and 14 boards. The Hawks have won their last four games to regain the No.1 spot in the Southeast Division with a 32-34 record.

The midseason trades they made before the All-Star break seem to be paying off, with Caris Levert and Terrence Mann flourishing off the bench for the Hawks. Of course, Trae Young continues to be the engine that powers the Hawks’ offense, leading his team with 24 points and 11.5 assists per game.
