They also have Yusei Kikuchi going to the mound, and while he hasn’t always been consistent in run prevention, he usually eats enough innings to get the game to the bullpen.
Jose Suarez takes the mound for the Angels, in what will likely be a bullpen game. The Angels are trying to build up Suarez’s endurance and appear to have eyes on making a starter out of him, as they pushed him through three innings two starts ago and through the fourth inning last time out. While the Angels are at least trying new things for 2025, there’s only so much that you can force with a team that does not have an interest in the rest of 2024.
