Lorenzo Musetti of Italy will square it off with Alex De Minaur of Australia in Friday’s action-packed semifinal matchup at the 2025 Monte Carlo Masters.

Musetti reached his first ATP 1000 semis appearance after ousting the defending champion, Stefanos Tsitsipas, in a thrilling three-set encounter, 1-6 6-3 6-4. Musetti managed to pull off the upset – his third three-set win in the tourney – by connecting 74 percent of his first serves and winning 47 points. Friday’s result also handed Musetti his first win over the Greek in six head-to-head matches.

De Minaur also eased through to the semis with a double bagel win over Grigor Dimitrov 6-0 6-0. The Australian came off another dominant win over former world’s No.1 Daniil Medvedev 6-2, 6-2, but nobody expected him to dominate the way he did against Dimitrov. De Minaur won 75 percent of his first serves and 80 percent of his second while breaking six times.
