Noskova advanced to the third round after grinding out a hard-earned win over Diana Shnaider of Russia 7-6(8) 4-6 6-3. Fresh off a morale-boosting win over Yulia Putintseva, Noskova reached in deep from her bag of tricks to outpoint Shnaider in the first-set tiebreaker. Shnaider managed to level the score at one set apiece with a solid performance in the second set, but Noskova refused to let the match slip away, scoring the big points in the crucial moments to capture the win.
