Newly promoted Leicester City host Spurs in the first Monday night football game of the new Premier League season. The Foxes finished top of the Championship last season, but faced a huge battle to avoid an immediate return to the second flight. Star midfielder Kieran Dewsbury-Hall and title winning manager have both moved to Chelsea, whilst the club also has to contend with the possibility of an upcoming points deduction for financial irregularities. Spurs finished last season in fifth place, although for a large chunk of the campaign, they looked set for a Champions League spot. A run of just two wins from their final seven games allowed Aston Villa to pip them to a place in the top four, leaving Spurs having to settle for Europa League football this season.
