After a break of almost three months, Ligue 1 is finally back! The 2024/25 edition looks set to live up to all its promises, with plenty at stake at every level. To kick things off, we'll be treated to a clash between Le Havre AC and PSG. The first match of the new season takes place this Friday at 2.45pm EST at the Stade Océane. Having returned to the elite of French soccer last season, Le Havre AC managed to finish 15th in the standings and stay there. They know they'll still be fighting for their place in the next few months. They certainly don't expect to pick up any points against the big boys from the Paris region. However, HAC will not shy away from upsetting the odds if they get the chance.

For their part, PSG are putting their Ligue 1 title back on the line. A new cycle has begun in the French capital. Kylian Mbappé has packed his bags to join Real Madrid. Luis Enrique has nonetheless retained a top-quality squad, notably with the arrival of Joao Neves. As usual, the French giants are determined to win every trophy on the domestic stage. Gianluigi Donnarumma's team-mates will be the big favorites when they travel to Le Havre. They'll have everything they need to get off to a flying start.
