The second round of the SEC Tournament concludes with the Oklahoma Sooners (20-12, 6-12 ) taking on the No. 15 Kentucky Wildcats (21-10, 10-8 ). Fans can enjoy this SEC battle when the game tips off at 9:30 p.m. ET with coverage via the SEC Network.
Oklahoma fans have a few good reasons to think their team might be able to pull off an upset tonight. The Sooners have a little momentum coming into the game, having won their last three games, including a 96-84 win over a ranked Missouri team during the regular season. But more importantly, they gave the Wildcats a pretty good fight earlier in the season. They actually had a lead, 82-81, with 20 seconds left. But Otega Oweh hit a layup for Kentucky with six seconds left to secure the win.
The Wildcats come into this game winning six of their last nine games, but two of the losses were to top-five teams (Alabama and Auburn). They ended the regular season on a two-game winning streak, destroying LSU 95-64 and, like Oklahoma, taking down Missouri (regular-season finale, 91-83). Otega Oweh leads the team in scoring with 16.2 points per game.

Kentucky is the more talented team of the two and will have a rest advantage, but the Wildcats are also a young team and have struggled to string together good performances, especially when not playing at home. Oklahoma gave Kentucky all the Wildcats could handle in the regular season. I’m not so sure this game will be as close or down to the wire, but I expect the Sooners to keep it interesting (and somewhat close).
