Mazatlan visits Juarez in a Liga MX clash that few may key in on, but could have lasting impacts on the playoff picture. Juarez is quite clearly the worst team in Liga MX. They had limited success in the Leagues Cup this summer, beating St. Louis on penalties before falling to Colorado 3-2. After failing to qualify for the knockout stage, they had plenty of time to rest and prepare for their domestic duties. That extra time resulted in 3-0 and 5-0 losses to Necaxa and Chivas, respectively. Granted, both of those outcomes were on the road. But Juarez feels completely in over their heads in the top-flight of Mexico and have very few resources to change things quickly. Mazatlan, however, have proven themselves as a smaller team. They nearly made it to the semi-finals of the Leagues Cup and earned their first win of the season in a commanding 3-0 victory over Pachuca.
