Jessica Pegula braces for a blockbuster All-American showdown with McCartney Kessler in the championship match at the 2025 ATX Open on Sunday. Pegula advanced to her second final stint in 2025 after vanquishing Ajla Tomljanovic 6-1 4-6 6-3 in the semis. For the first time in four matches, Pegula was taken to a deciding set after letting the Aussie build a 4-1 lead and take the second frame. Pegula regained her composure in the third set as she returned the favor to Tomljanovic, racing to a 4-1 lead before wrapping it up in the 9th game. Kessler swept Greet Minnen 7-5 6-4 to win her sixth match in seven games. More importantly, the victory sent Kessler to her second championship match this year after ruling the Hobart International in February. The American won 64 percent of her serves and broke five times to seal the deal.
