Inter Miami and Los Angeles FC will hit the grass on Wednesday night in the second leg of this thrilling CONCACAF Champions Cup quarterfinal matchup. This game promises some fireworks after LAFC secured a slim 1-0 victory in the first round last week. The hosts required a 57th-minute effort from Nathan Ordaz to edge out Javier Mascherano and his men.
Despite the win, LAFC found themselves on the back foot for most of the night, seeing only 41% of the ball. They also made fewer passes than Inter Miami, although their 88% passing accuracy was quite impressive. On a positive note, LAFC was the better attacking side that night. They instinctively took one of their four shots on target to get one foot into the semifinals. However, a slim lead when facing one of the most talented MLS sides on the road is never comfortable.
