Kevin Holland vs Reinier de Ridder Prediction & Picks - UFC 311
by Stephen Abiola | in UFC Picks
Kevin Holland versus Rienier de Ridder is a strong undercard on the UFC 311 fight card on Saturday night. Kevin Holland (26-12-0) was one of the most active UFC fighters last year. The “Trailblazer” engaged in three combats, coming out second best in two of those fights. His only win was against Michal Oleksiejczuk at UFC 303 to snap his two-game losing skid. A win at the Intuit Dome could see the 32-year-old get a shot at the top 15 of the stacked Middleweight division.
Rienier de Ridder (18-2-0), on the other hand, is still a newcomer in the UFC. He brilliantly started his UFC career in November 2024 after forcing Gerald Meerschaert into submission. The “RDR” comes into this matchup with a fearsome record of 10 first-round finishes, 12 wins by submission, and 4 wins by KO. Interestingly, his two career losses have come via KOs. This matchup allows him to lay down a marker in the UFC.

Our Kevin Holland vs Reinier de Ridder Prediction
This is an intriguing matchup because it presents a clash of styles. Whereas Holland specializes in striking, de Ridder is more of a grappler. Holland is a very competent fighter regarding offensive submissions, although his takedown accuracy of 38% is worrying. He only attempts 0.83 takedowns every 15 minutes and has a takedown defensive success rate of 54%. That’s way lower than de Ridder, who fends off 100% of his opponent’s takedown attempts. However, de Ridder is also not good at offensive takedowns. He has a success accuracy of 38% despite attempting 6.39 takedowns every 15 minutes. He didn’t show any signs of urgency on his debut, which could cost him against Holland. Our prediction for Holland vs de Ridder: Kevin Holland for the win.
