Rune has experienced a disappointing season so far, failing to make it past the quarter final stage of any event. His best performance at SW19 came 12 months ago, when he reached the quarter finals before losing in straight sets to eventual champion Carlos Alcaraz. After making the main draw for the first time in three attempts, Wild came from 2-0 down to claim victory in his first round clash Britain's Paul Jubb.
