The Wimbledon match between Grigor Dimitrov and Gael Monfils on Friday is a particularly interesting one, that's for sure. The Bulgarian, as the higher-ranked player is a clear and obvious favorite, but he's not exactly up against the easiest player to get the better of here, so could he be a little short? For my money, the hugely experienced and still very competitive Gael Monfils is a little generously priced ahead of this clash.

As mentioned above, Grigor Dimitrov, who is currently ranked 23 places above Gael Monfils, is the heavy favorite here, but I really do think we can make a strong case for the underdog. After all, Monfils has a hugely positive record against Dimitrov, which is hard to ignore. The Frenchman definitely knows how to frustrate his Bulgarian opponent, while he's shown some very good grass-court form of late, beating both Mannarino and Wawrinka in telling fashion. Dimitrov also recently beat Mannarino, though he didn't do so in much better fashion, which is worth mentioning, while he wasn't overly fluent when dropping two sets to a player worse than Monfils during the last round. Ultimately, I think this could be closer than the current odds suggest, so betting on Monfils to cause a minor upset set is well worth doing. Our Prediction: Gael Monfils to Win.
